hey :)

today I’ve got something cool to show u - something I’ve been slaving over for the past two weeks. 

a voxel arena-boomer-shooter set to breakcore with a symphonic orchestra 😏
inspired by ULTRAKILL (highly recommended, it fucking rules) and Scavengers Reign

from ULTRAKILL, I borrowed the coin mechanic and healing through blood

  • weapon progression is designed so that once fully upgraded, your guns deal devastating damage and tear the environment apart — especially the Annihilator [3] and the Sunbreaker [7]
  • shooting a coin deals a fuckton of ricochet damage and interacts differently with every weapon. for example: the Nailgun automatically headshots the nearest enemy while the coin is airborne; the Singularity grows its black hole by feeding it coins; the Annihilator creates a huge area of effect on ricochet
  • bathing in yr enemies’ blood repairs yr body

unlike my previous mini-games, I’m much more confident about developing this one further. there’s a ton of room to go wild with the mechanics — and most importantly, I’m having fun with it.
